Demonic Weapon :
[Parasitic] Consists of long chain and with a small dagger attached at the end for easier travel. In battle, the dagger morphs into a crescent-shaped blade. His weapon can also morph into a spear for closer combat, although it is less powerful than its primary form.
+ Resourceful + Organized + Caring; but doesn’t show it- keeps tabs on peoplecreepily - Concise; he often gives one word answers, not necessarily because he doesn’t want to talk, but simply because he doesn’t have much else to say; he doesn’t “fluff” his speech - Pessimistic; thinks of all the worst case scenarios in a situation. - Manipulative in the sense that he can get what he wants easily.
As a child, Kai lived in Zone 1 with both of his parents. He grew up with every resource he could possibly need, and strove to please his parents, leading a “normal” life. He also excelled in school, and was respected by his peers.
In the summer before he was to enter high school, his father was killed in a car crash. His death affected Kai and his mother greatly, but both seemed to cope relatively well. They moved to a new town. Kai threw himself into his studies and started to go running whenever he could, to be by himself and take his mind off things. His mother slowly lost the will to go outside, afraid of the things that would remind her of her husband. Eventually, she refused to go outside, forcing Kai to spend less time with his friends, though he didn’t mind. She came first for him.
Since she hadn’t been outside for so long, Kai’s mother began to lose her concept of reality. She retreated into her own world, hallucinating that her husband was still alive. Kai lied to himself, telling himself that she would be fine, not wanting to take her to a doctor in fear that she would be locked away and that he wouldn’t see her again. However, her mental state eventually deteriorated so much that she began to see him as his father.
After enduring a year of this double life, he realized how he was destroying his life and just feeding into his mother’s fantasies. His mother barely ever recognized him as her son rather than her husband. He needed to stop this, although he couldn’t just abandon his mother.
”Here, this will help you sleep. Ah, thank you…”
He had mixed a high dosage of sleeping pills into her tea. He tucked her neatly into bed and took what photos they had kept of his mother and father before he finally left the house.
Kai fled to Zone 2 that night, and never looked back at the house. Since they hadn't gone out since their move, people had apparently forgotten who they were, since Kai never heard news of whether her body was found. Since then, he became more of a solitary person, though he doesn't really mind having company.
