Jun is easy to rile up (make angry/happy etc.), and is the type to cry during sad movies. He gets easily swept up by other people's emotions as well. However, he tries to hold it all in to keep a “cool” image. He is pretty easy to trick but tries to hide it and play it off as if he knew it was coming. He also has a hard time picking up on sarcasm. If something angers him or doesn't go his way, he's more likely to ignore the problem rather than do something about it. He doesn't like confrontation and tries to keep on good terms with everyone.

Jun is energetic and likes to play sports, but isn't very good at them. He also gets hooked on shows and games easily. He's still pretty childish and hasn't given much thought to what he wants to do in the future. Studying is hard for him because he often gets distracted, but he tries.

History:

Jun was born in the mainland, where he lived with his mother, father, and older brother before he traveled to Midorijima. His father grew up in Midorijima, and holds a bitterness towards Toue, Inc. because of the way it had transformed Midorijima from the lush island it once was. Because of his father’s dislike for Toue, Jun and his older brother Eiji were never allowed to go to Platinum Jail even when visiting relatives in Midorijima. His mother is more indifferent about Toue, and works as teacher in a high school. Jun's father works as a ship captain, and met Jun's mother during one of his trips to Osaka.

Jun and Eiji are very close, and his older brother was the one to look out for him when they were growing up, as their parents were always busy working. Eiji is confident and reliable, and is Jun's role model and idol. Whatever Eiji did, Jun would follow suit, whether he was able to do it well or not. The two would sometimes fantasize about what went on in Platinum Jail having never seen it themselves. Jun’s parents were never very strict concerning school; as long as they weren’t getting into trouble and their grades were acceptable, Jun and Eiji were given a lot of freedom. Jun was more prone to goofing off with friends when he had free time rather than studying, and often went to the arcade with his brother. Eiji was spent more time studying but was also very into gaming and electronics. His curiosity about Platinum Jail grew because he knew it was a center of modern technology. Eiji’s interest in Platinum Jail eventually motivated him to apply to the University of Midorijima for college.

Jun wasn’t as interested in Platinum Jail as Eiji was, but after he heard of his brother’s plans, he begged his parents to allow him to attend school in Midorijima as well. They both refused, saying he was too young. After Eiji was accepted, he quickly grew accustomed to life in Midorijima. When he visited, he told Jun about his experiences in Platinum Jail (where he had gone without his father's knowledge), Rhyme, teams, and gifted him his current Allmate, Kii. Life in Platinum Jail indeed sounded fun, but Jun mainly wished he could see his brother more. He continued to badger his parents about allowing him to attend high school in Midorijima, and studied hard in an attempt to please them, although he wasn’t as good with studies as his brother was. His parents eventually decided to let him to go after he finished his first year of high school. They were still reluctant, but after seeing how much he missed his brother, they ultimately decided to let him go since he would be able to live with his relatives.

Currently, Jun lives with his relatives in Kyuujuuminku, and attends Narashino High. He had his first encounter with Rhyme when his brother brought him along to a game. He lost instantly, but still thinks it's pretty fun and wants to play again.
